GO ALL IN
I DON'T WANT TO BE A SLAVE ANYMORE
This weekend I realized that I want to make some changes regarding my productivity and I set an intention for this week: Go all in. I wrote: “No Multitasking!” on a Post It note and stuck it on my table. To help me keep on track and to hold me accountable I also shared my intention with my family and close friends. The most important thing I had to do was get my phone usage and screen time under control.
I scheduled downtime from 10am to 2pm and limited my social media time to two hours per day, including business obligations. Netflix time is now reserved for evenings — yes, including the documentaries that my brain uses to justify my procrastination.
Notifications will not be able to distract me anymore as I now always try to put my phone into “Do not disturb” mode whenever I study or work. I would like to achieve the ability to focus 100% while reading the Kinfolk magazine, to watch Netflix without replying to emails in between, to work without getting distracted by notifications and to study without thinking about the things I will have to do tomorrow. To put all of me into all of my activities, one at a time. To work or play to the fullest.
